Who can participate?+
Students passionate about economics across all high school grades and academic programs. The 2026 edition was open to all academic programs. Eligibility is confirmed for each edition.
How many students are on a team?+
Exactly three. The three-person format applies throughout — both in the analytical round and the case challenge.
Do I need to study AP Economics?+
No. The Challenge was inspired by AP-style rigor but remains accessible to students studying through other systems, including IB and others.
What does the competition test?+
Not memorization. Economic concepts applied in unfamiliar situations, where the data is incomplete and the answer is not in the syllabus.
Is the competition individual or team-based?+
Team-based, always. Teams of three compete together across both rounds.
What is the Case Challenge?+
A real-world economics and business case solved collaboratively, then defended before the panel. Scoring emphasises logic, data interpretation, economic reasoning and practical application.
What should I prepare?+
Strong conceptual foundations in micro and macroeconomics, sharp reasoning under time pressure, and the ability to communicate conclusions clearly and convincingly.
Where is it held?+
Sunny Canadian International School, Strakova 522, Jesenice u Prahy 25242, Czech Republic.
